The blood, vaginal fluid, semen, and breast milk of people infected with HIV has enough of the virus in it to infect other people. You might get HIV and not even know it. Here is how you can get it: having sex with and infected person, sharing a needle with an infected person and if you had a baby and you are infected the baby will also have HIV. How do you know if your positive? Within a few weeks after being infected, some people get fever, headache, sore muscles and joints, stomach ache, swollen lymph glands, or a skin rash for one or two weeks. How do you know if you have AIDS? HIV disease becomes AIDS when your immune system is seriously damaged. There is no cure for AIDS, and you might have to take medication and not just one for the rest of your life. There is no way to "clear" the HIV out of your body. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/aids.html
